Our Story
Like many small business, it all started out as a hobby and a passion. Todd was given his first welder as a teen and he did what teens do, he tinkered and experimented.
After a lengthy stint in the Army, Todd returned to his native state of Nebraska to head up his uncles thriving tent and awning business and later worked as production welder at a golf cart manufacturer. He taught himself the art of blacksmithing and finer metalwork in his spare time. It wasn't long before Todd would take to his garage and make the things he wanted to make. He would peddle his wares at a local Farmers Market, each week selling out. And as these things work, people started asking him if he could make this or that and soon he busted out of that tiny garage to a shop and showroom located it the Historic Haymarket in Lincoln Nebraska.
In November, 2004, Todd and his wife, Robin, moved to Asheville. Todds' handcrafted ornamental ironwork is in private homes and businesses throughout Western North Carolina.
A cover photo and article in Builder Architect in Nebraska featured a photo of a custom railing made be Todd R. Miller. Custom Metal Creations by Miller Fabrication was located in the Historic Haymarket area of Lincoln, NE from 1996-2004.
Todd relocated to the Asheville area in 2004. He continues to custom make the finest ornamental iron railings, gates, furniture, garden wares and home accessories .
